Kuru-Grey

Kurugranite is sometimes also called Näsgranit, as it is extracted from quarries near Lake Näsijärvi, located close to Tampere in Finland. The extraction of Kurugranite has been ongoing since the mid-1800s and has played a significant geographical and historical role, particularly in the development of Tampere. Kuru has also gained a strong reputation worldwide due to its hardness, high quality, and durability.

Kuru granite comes in various colors, ranging from grey to reddish-brown and black. In our range, you will find grey Kuru, which is fine-grained and has a uniform grey shade with low color variation.

The granite is relatively easy to process and can be shaped and polished to create various design effects. The grey color of the stone can vary depending on the degree of polishing; the more the material is worked, the stronger the color becomes, while a coarser surface gives a lighter shade. Its aesthetic beauty and durability make Kuru a popular choice for gravestone customers seeking a high-quality and beautiful natural stone.
